for publishing

It’s simple. Anusha knows art.

She knows it so well that she’s a professional illustrator, graphic designer, papercut artist and an art professor at a school and college level. Since 2017, she’s utilised her killer creative instincts to make meaningful work for a whole bunch of projects with a focus on the non-profit and social justice spaces across the globe. But you know what she’s really good at? Designing and illustrating books, especially for young adults. She’s been the go-to illustrator for several authors and publishing houses, and her illustrations have been featured in Cosmopolitan, Buzzfeed and The Huffington Post, amongst others.

The other thing about Anusha? Her art has so much heart.

Anusha’s creations seamlessly bring together activism, vibrant colours, social development, childhood/adolesence, whimsy, mental health and queer identity to create an impact. Her economics and mass communication background adds depth to her work and ensures it acknowledges South Indian culture and context. She graduated with a masters in illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art, 2022.

Anusha enjoys cooking, hiking and petting grumpy cats with her husband Jacob in charm city, Baltimore.
