Anusha is an Indian Illustrator and Paper-cut artist based out of Baltimore, USA. Originally an Economic Journalist at CNBC, Anusha now has an MA in illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
She is a Children's Book Illustrator and her creations seamlessly bring together activism, vibrant colours, childhood/adolescence and whimsy.
Since 2017, she’s utilised her killer creative instincts to make meaningful work for a whole bunch of projects with a special focus on the non-profit and social justice spaces across the globe.
We’re talking longstanding institutions like the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the Union of Southern Social Workers (USSW, IPAS50, Dream a Dream and multiple Indian state governments, amongst others.
Her illustrations have been featured in the pages of Cosmopolitan, Buzzfeed and The Huffington Post, and she’s been the go-to choice for several authors and publishing houses, covering a variety of themes with her illustrations. How’s that for range?

Anusha loves using colour theory, petting grumpy cats, hanging out with her husband, designing children’s books, going on hikes, posting about going on hikes, listening to Tame Impala (yes, she knows it’s just one guy), cooking food without following recipes, visiting her old hometown of Bangalore in India, attending gigs in her current hometown of Baltimore in the USA, spending hours on FaceTime and watching bad reality TV.
How’s that for being a really awesome and balanced individual that you should definitely work with?
